WHAT IS "VINHO VERDE"?
Translated into English, Vinho Verde means Green Wine. But it is not actually green!
Vinho verde can be a white wine, a rose, or red wine actually. It is called green because it is drunk young, very soon after harvest. It is a crisp, refreshing and different than any other white wine you've tasted!
