Winery: Aveleda
|
|
With Quinta da Aveleda we honor a long family tradition of winemaking. The Guedes family founded the winery as early as 1671, and still owns it today. On the label, you can see the Family House, which is still in use, giving the personal signature to this special wine.
The wine is created and produced in the Quinta da Aveleda estate. Every year, we select the best grapes of the most famous varieties of this region such as Loureiro, Trajadura and Alvarinho. These grapes come from our 160ha of vines and the production is controlled in order to produce a high quality Vinho Verde.
The Alvarinho, Loureiro and Trajadura vines are planted in strings in the best soils of Quinta da Aveleda. Only the grapes at the ideal maturation stage are picked during the harvest. The vinification of each variety is carried out separately and only then is the lot produced. The fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures (between 18-20ºC). Then, the wine the wine stays in
contact with the lies in stainless steel tank, obtaining
more complexity. Before bottling, the wine is filtered
and cold stabilized.
