Aveleda Alvarinho is a wine produced exclusively with the Alvarinho variety, a grape variety that is becoming more and more a flagship of the white varieties produced in Portugal.
Being one of the major producers of Vinho Verde, Aveleda created this wine to express the most noble character and complexity of this unique grape. Proud of the result, it is named after our winery's name and our way of working with this fabulous grape.
Produced exclusively with Alvarinho grapes (the Queen of Portuguese
white grapes), this dry white wine presents a straw pale color, a complex flowery aromas, with accents of peaches and tropical fruits. On the palate this wine presents a very fresh soft and silky elegance, revealing hints of spicy citrine flavors.
Ideal with fish, seafood, or other similar meals. Recommended temperature for tasting: cool but not overly chilled, between 10ºC and 12ºC, to allow
the flavors to open and develop even more.

Alvarinho is the grape of northern Vinho Verde, giving a style that is rich and complex. The fruit here fits that character, packed with pear, apple and citrus flavors and a light texture of lime zest.
